Glassmine 43

The German glasmine 43 was an anti-personnel landmine with a body and top made of glass. The idea was that the glass body would be nearly undetectable from mine sweepers, with either a metal or glass plate for the fuse.
The mechanics of the mine are simple. The top plate has a very thin shear plate that breaks upon being stepped on. The victim and plate then crush either a buckzunder or shucko igniter that's connected to a 200gr explosive.
The mine can be used anywhere, but was commonly used along beaches as a coastal mine where engineers would seal the plates from water using putty or clay.
