Kitchen hinge hole repair plug for chipboard
Kitchen hinge screws tend to become loose in chipboard. I wanted a "Rawlplug" type solution. I found a promising one, but being round, it rotated in the hole (even after glueing) because the new screw was such a tight fit in the plug. So tweaked it. I "squared" it, increase the diagonal to around 10mm an tapered it a little. Bingo!
I printed it with 2mm walls in "draft"
Drill the existing bad hole to 8mm diameter and 12mm depth. Do this slowly and cleanly. Place the plug in the hole and hammer in until flush with surface. Screw the hinge back using 4.5mm x 16mm screws
