Indicator Holder AXA
I really like the original Blondihacks version for it's keep it simple approach. So that is what I printed & tried. It almost worked. I have a G0602 lathe with a distance of 15/16" from the top of the compound to the work centerline. I'm one of the lucky ones who has to remove .040" of the bottom of the tool holders to get the tool down on center. So of course the indicator was high also, about 3/16". The simple solution was to take a rabbet cut across the bottom under the dovetails and let the indicator drop down. This boogered the IKEA c'sink so I fixed/changed it for a SHCS. I also radiused off that clunky square corner to save printing time. That other radius I just added because it was pretty & curves make my Ender sing.
Silly extra info.
I don't have Fusion so had to recreate in SW. For accuracy I measured the metal parts instead of the plastic part. I constructed the dovetails the same way I measured them, between pins. The tool holder & indicator both clearly measured in nice round inch dim's not mm, so that is what I used. I'm comfortable with either system, just not both at the same time.
So I was mortising some hinges while this was printing. Discovered how good a sharp wood chisel will also work on plastic to make surfaces flat & shave to size etc.
