NCL Cruising Duck - Reducked
Update note: if you use the original file in a small size and print in a standard quality of say 0.20 there is a very good chance the balcony lines will come out stringy. If you still have the old file there are two ways around this, one is make it larger, the other is print in 0.12 or better. I have made a new file called "jewel duck for standard quality prints" where the balconies have been reinforced so they will print without stringing out on you. Since you can also use the standard quality file in better formats I will be deleting the original duck file called "Jewel Duck final", that will no longer appear on this page.
---Original summary---
Well, this was a pain but it came out alright I guess. I wasn't satisfied with my original Norwegian cruise duck so I started over. This still uses the tourist duck that the original did, however unlike the last one that was on a modified Carnival Spirit hull I found a computer model of the Norwegian Jewel and if you know anything about computers you'll know that real world physics and computer physics are not the same so there was alot of redesign, restructure, rebuilding, print, find the errors, start over and repeat so this could exist (yes I tried "make solid" first and it made it worse so manual edits yay).
Also if someone wants it I'll upload the scale model of Jewel without the duck to this same page. Its not as detailed as some of the other cruise ships out here but if someone wants to print or add details themselves go ahead, also I don't think I've found an NCL ship STL file so this might be the only one so maybe it'll be a start for someone. Promenade deck could use some work but it will print, I did print one at a length of 270mm
Here is a link to the original 3d model I converted if you want to check that out
