E3D v5 30mm Fan Duct

HJK14's fan duct almost worked for my printer (T-MAX 2.0, a Mendel Max 1.5i derivative), but the screws for the pillow blocks were in the way and pushed it down a little, so it wouldn't seat nicely.

I added an indentation in the top of that design to allow it to clear the pillow blocks.

The pictures show the original 30mm fan that came with my E3D mounted to the duct, and combined, they provide enough cooling to run even higher temp materials (e.g., 250+ degrees) without heat issues in the tube. The pictures were taken while a job was running, so they're not perfect.

Update: 2016-01-12

I was teaching myself a new 3D CAD program and I was never quite happy with the airflow through the heat sink, so I thought this would be a good project. I redesigned it from scratch, based loosely on the original design.

Not that it really caused any problems, but I believed there was a reasonable amount of backpressure due to the restriction of the conical design of the duct. This new version fits more or less the same, but it has a more open, cylindrical duct the same size as the fan opening instead of a conical one.

When mounting it, the rib fits in between the first and second fin of the heatsink.
