Van's Aircraft EZ Cowl Jig

Modeled after the EZ Cowl, this jig bolts to the prop flange to help center the cowl nose bowl on the crankshaft. The bolt holes are for 1/2" bolts. The center hole is sized for a 1" dowel to fit in as the center pin. The thickness is set up for a prop setup with a 2 1/4" spacer and sets the cowl 1/4" back from the spinner (if bolted with the starter flywheel in place). Make sure you determine what the thickness should be for your setup and modify the file or add wood spacers to change the thickness. Use a flat wood disc clecoed to the cowl (with a 1" hole in the center) to match up to the jig.
