Articulating/ Flexi 2008 Ford Mustang GT

IMPORTANT:
I will only be giving a .3mf file because this model is really carried by the color painting that I did. In most slicers you should be able to redownload the .stl file from the .3mf file itself if you need it. Please contact me if you're having any troubles!

This model is able to articulate but also be squished back together in the shape of a car again. The keychain hole is 2mm and the jump ring in the pictures I have posted has a thickness of 1mm.

Hey Thingiverse community!

I know it's been a while, and I know you guys have definitely missed me. Since I finished school (for now) I have started working on a lot of personal projects and other projects that family and friends have asked me to do. Originally, I was not planning on posting this thing to thingiverse because it was more of a passion project I made for a friend of mine. However, the nature of this project was to give to the community, and I also wanted to give a personal anecdote about how important it is to find a community that you belong to, so I am posting this project here, in case anyone else would like to do the same, or to just have fun.

A few months ago, a friend of mine bought a 2008 Ford Mustang GT California Special from her cousin, this car was basically kept in the garage for most of it's life and only driven on rainy days. When my friend acquired the car it was special because it was able to be kept within the family and she shared a common story with its original owner. However, what I find so different and special is that she started going to car shows with her new car, she found a wonderful community of likeminded people and she started volunteering and participating more in what these events had to offer. So many amazing things came out of her just participating and finding a community, she won multiple shows, won multiple raffles, but she is also connecting with other car fanatics and giving back to the community in the form of special experiences and small handouts like stickers.

This is where I come in! She asked if I could make a 3D printed mustang logo keychain for her to give out, we printed multiple colors and mostly people wanted the colors that corresponded to their cars so they could put it with their car keys. People were so excited about these keychains. It was amazing how much conversation this simple thing was able to foster and I am truly grateful to be part of the experience. In the spirit of giving things out and giving to the community, I wanted to make something that was fun for children and adults alike to have. This gave me the idea of an articulating toy, because as an adult myself, I love those things. I have one sitting on my desk and I play with it all the time, especially when I am thinking or when I am idle. So... what better way to make a flexi toy than to make it of the car of the person handing them out... haha!
