Printed midcap cleanup tool v0.5 (for breaking in 3d printed midcaps)
Print in place object with 2 bodies. Nicer tool woulr require bearings. Print and shove in long phillips type screwdriver bit, head first. The ass of the screwdriver bit is the tool we want to use.
In actual use just run the protduding metal bit in the track path. Concentrate on making turns smooth by feel. To do that just run it in the track inside the turns until those don't drag the ass of the bit. Don't forget to wipe regularly, it will accumulate material from the midcap you've essentially ground down.
Took me awhile to figure this method.
What's interesting, it should be equally useful for double stacks and single stacks.
Just to be clear, the asses of my screwdriver bits are 6.31-6.35mm MOST of my midcaps have 6.4 paths. If your tool is stucking, check the dimention of the ass of the screwdriver bit. If good, welp, printing tolerances are involved, figure this one out in your slicer.
