Dowel Drilling Guide (with Hex Nut Insert) for 19mm Boards

This is a simple dowel drilling jig designed for 19 mm thick wooden boards.

It allows you to:

• Drill perfectly aligned dowel holes on the edge of a board.
• Position a dowel in the groove and use it to drill the corresponding hole in the mating board.

🔧 Special feature

The jig includes a slot for a hex nut insert:

• Nut size: M8 (8 mm inner hole, 16.9 mm across flats).
• During printing, pause at the layer right before the “cap” of the nut slot is printed.
• Insert the nut manually, then resume printing. The jig will enclose the nut permanently inside the print.

This design makes the jig stronger and prevents wear from repeated drilling.
