Stimmy

It was originally a test to research how to achieve "organic" textures with 3D printing when doing slight reliefs without supports, which turned out to have a good result. And one day, a friend pointed out to me that it could make a pretty good stimtoy.
So enjoy Stimmy wearing as a ring, striking one side then turn it and do it again!

I printed it in ABS, PLA normal and "silk metallic", also managed to print it in Flexi PLA (but that was hard to achieve).
Use default settings for Infill.
No skirt nor supports needed (REALLY DON'T USE SUPPORTS, IT WOULD GO AGAINST THE PURPOSE OF IT)
You can print it "roughly", I printed it many times using "Draft" (0.25mm resolution) or "Super Draft" (0.30mm resolution) settings, and augmenting the print's default speed.
The walls are thick enough to size it down to make it a child's ring size.

Have fun with Stimmy!

  • I designed it and used to sell it; I now share the model but my company is still the only owner of the selling rights. However, should you find yourself in a situation such as doing a mass order from shapeways.com , craftcloud.com , sculpteo.com or other web based 3D printing services for yourself and/or other people and asking people to pay a little bit more than their share of the cost to compensate for your time, I would understand. You can contact me in that type of situation -
