Rubber Mallet

This is a model of a small rubber mallet that I designed for hammering together pressure fit parts. This is one of my favorite printed tools as it is more delicate than a typical mallet but still provides enough power to drive in parts. Additionally, inside of the head, there is a chamber that can be filled with sand after printing for a small dead blow effect. In my hammer, I held the parts together via two #6 screws, however, slightly larger screws will work due to the flexible nature of the filament used. For this print, I recommend TPU 68D (like bambu lab TPU for AMS) for the head however almost any flexible filament will work. Moreover, while I used this TPU for both the head and the handle, it is only necessary for the head and any relatively stiff filament can work for the handle so long as it is not too brittle.
