Ford Totem Sign

A replica of the Ford totem/pylon sign at my local Ford dealer.

Requires super glue and patience. Cutting back the connecting cylinders on some pieces might be required for older printers with lower print quality.

Print Instructions:

3MF files are provided for all parts, with each file organised by colour. Each 3MF file contains only the components intended to be printed in that specific colour.

The files are pre-configured with recommended print settings, including orientation and basic slicer parameters, to ensure reliable and consistent print quality.

Assembly Instructions:

1. Print all parts according to their specified colours.
   Print one of each part unless otherwise stated. For example, the Grey_Stand_Panels require four (4) copies. Otherwise, refer to the supplied 3MF files for correct part grouping and colour separation.

2. Prepare the base panel.
   Take Insert_-_4 and one Grey_StandPanel. Insert the black Insert-_4 into the grey Grey_Stand_Panel.

3. Repeat for remaining inserts.
   Repeat Step 2 for Insert_-3, Insert-2, and Insert-_1, inserting each black insert into a grey panel.

4. Assemble the tower.
   Stack, align, and glue the four assembled pieces in ascending order, with Insert_-4 as the base and Insert-_1 as the top.

5. Attach the logo connector.
   Glue and attach the black Logo_Connector to the top of the assembled tower.

6. Prepare the logo bulk pieces.
   Retrieve the logo components. The Top_Blue_Bulk and Bot_Blue_Bulk must be printed flat and require a colour change so that the “Ford” text prints in white on a blue background.

7. Install the white rims.
   Insert the White_Rim into the Bot_Blue_Bulk, and into the Top_Blue_Bulk. This part can be quite tricky and will require patience as the white piece is intended to be a tight fit without glue.

8. Install logos into braces.
   Insert the completed logo assemblies into their respective logo braces. (e.g., insert Top_Blue_Bulk into LogoBrace-_Front).

9. Install connector cylinders.
   Print two Logo_Brace_Insert_RHS-LHS parts and insert (and glue) them into one of the logo braces.

10. Join the logo braces.
    Connect the two logo braces together, ensuring both logo assemblies are properly aligned.

11. Assembly of main pieces.
    Attach the completed Ford Stem Logo assembly to the completed Ford Stem.

12. Final assembly.
    Print two identical Side_Panel_RHS-LHS parts. Glue them into the side grooves of the totem pole. They may need to be pressed firmly in.
