PAC-MAN Inspired Rotary Knob for 6mm Knurled Potentiometers

PAC-MAN Inspired Rotary Knob for 6mm Knurled Potentiometers

🎂 Birthday Gift to the Maker Community!

Hello Makers! This rotary knob design, inspired by the classic PAC-MAN arcade game, is my gift to the community to celebrate my birthday.

I had the original design for a while and recently spent 2 days refining and perfecting it. After testing it on my A/V Receiver for a full week, I can confirm it's durable, functional, and looks great!

  • Function: Designed to fit standard 6mm knurled (spline) potentiometer shafts.
  • Variations: Includes 2 styles and 2 sizes (Small and Large).

⚙️ Print Settings & Technical Details (PETG Recipe)

This model was tested and printed using PETG for durability.

  • Material: PETG (Recommended)
  • Infill: 30%
  • Retraction: 2.0mm Standard
  • Nozzle Temp: 235-232 °C
  • Bed Temp: 75-70 °C

Tolerance Note:

I designed the inner hole at 6.2 mm to account for PETG shrinkage on a 6mm shaft, ensuring a snug fit.

⚠️ Important Fitment Advice:
Please measure your potentiometer shaft before printing. Shaft sizes can vary slightly. You may need to slightly adjust the model's scale (e.g., 99% or 101%) in your slicer for a perfect friction fit.
