The Mesha Inscription (Moabite Stone), Revised

REVISED: I revised the original model, trying to make it clearer. There is a complete model, and then an enlarged one which I split into 2 parts. I suggest that you print it on its back. I also made 2 sizes of a box whose lid has the inscription. I will probably do more work on this to make it even clearer.

This is a model of ancient King Mesha of Moab's inscription which describes his rebellion against Israel. Moabite is basically ancient Hebrew, and it is written in the Paleohebrew script. I used the lithograph illustration in the New Bible Dictionary, 3rd edition, as the basis for this model.

ADDENDUM June 12, 2026: I made improved versions of the monument versions and the flat (inscription only) versions. This time I included large size which I split (monument and flat versions).

I recently figured out that the monuments print clearer, at least on my AD5x, if I do them vertically. If you want to do the huge size on its back, you will need to rotate those files 45 degrees, lay them on their backs, and then resize them if they won't fit on your printer. Just make sure to keep the same scale!

As for the large 2-part monument version, I find that superglue gel does a bang-up job on PLA plastic. I don't know about other materials.
