The thread is very close to M14x1, 5, so chase it with a die, if you want to use a standard M14 nut and metal washer. Plastic washer (file provided) is necessary, because the hood ornament has locating features on front and back, so a standard nut won't fit over correctly. Use both plastic and metal washer.

The red hood ornament is printed in PETG and can withstand highway speeds (130 km/h) no problem.
