Ducati 2V cam pulley rotation tool

This is a tool for rotating the cams on your 2V Ducati with the belts off. It has a 3/8 socket.

It is NOT for removing the nut (I assume it would just fall apart if you tried) or rotating the cam or motor with the belt on. But when putting the belts back on after replacement or valve service, it is a much nicer way to overcome the helper springs than using your fingers in a cold garage while slipping the belt on at the same time. I put a T-handle on it and could easily hold it in place with my chest while using two hands to get the belt in place.

I assume it works for many other DS or 2 valve Ducatis but don't really know. Mine is a 2008 Hypermotard 1100 with the 1100DS engine.

I did a fast draft print at 0.2mm resolution and 10% infill using basic PLA and it worked okay. I then refined the dimensions a little and reprinted at 0.1mm resolution, Gyroid fill at 10% with 1.2mm shell thicknesses and it feels a bit nicer. That is what's shown here. Either will work, you really don't need that much force here. It's a snug fit which I thought made it easier to use. I recommend putting tick marks on the outside to make lining the tabs up with the notches easier. Good luck with your Ducati service!
