Shipping Container – Tabletop Terrain (Remix)

This is a remixed version of a print-in-place ConEx shipping container, optimized for FDM 3D printing and tabletop gaming.

The original model used fully print-in-place hinges. For better reliability and print quality, this remix combines the model into two parts (container body + roof) and uses vertical wall orientation to improve dimensional accuracy on FDM printers.

The doors are printed in a fixed open position. After printing, they can be gently snapped free to create working hinges. They will feel stiff at first, but once broken free they should move like proper hinged doors.

Small support tabs are included and should be snapped off after printing.

Print Notes:
• Designed for FDM printing with no slicer supports
• Print orientation is already optimized
• Minor break-away support tabs included

The smaller you print, the more likely the hinges are to fuse. Larger scales produce better hinge action.

Scale:
I print these at 66% scale for tabletop RPG use.
At that size, each container is about 5 inches long — slightly oversized for strict scale, but they feel better on the table and provide more usable interior space for miniatures and gameplay.
