Updates:
- Redid the engine module, both the old and new one are in the files.
- The display STL file now correctly shows the most up to date version of the ship.

- Added ships crests and decals.
My rendition of the San Jacinto, a Lexington Class Destroyer from John Lumpkin's amazing Human Reach series, originally illustrated by Atomic Rockets writer Winchell Chung.
The Lexington Class is the United States' premier space destroyer class, representing a generalist combat vessel armed with a pair of coil guns, two primary laser cannons, missile cells, as well as more than a dozen defensive and counter-battery lasers. What sets it apart is its ability to undertake multi-role assignments thanks to its rear mounted modular bay. While I have modeled the drop ship hanger that the San Jacinto had equipped for the first book, it is mentioned that this space can fulfill multiple other roles such as holding additional crew or weapons. To this end I have scaled the neighboring missile cells to also fit into this space, allowing for the ship to double up its missile load. I might come back and model additional modules, however, these were never fully described so it would be guesswork on my part.
Some Notes:
- While shown in the original illustration and in the ship breakdown on Lumpkin's website, I did not include the 4 secondary coil guns which the class is supposed to have. These I will not be coming back to add in as they are never explicitly mentioned in the books and secondary guns are not present on any other ship detailed in the books or elsewhere, including the frigate Apache, which serves as a cut-down Lexington.
- The files are scaled 1/1 with the measurements given for the actual ship. While my printer software automatically shrinks the ship, scaling might be necessary for your own model unless you have a 200 meter long printer.
Please enjoy this ship model! If you have any critiques or issues with it please feel free to express them in the comments as it and my modeling skill can always improve. I hope to soon release more ships from this series soon as two are nearing completion.
