Selection Based Bone Chain Creator (Blender Python)
In Maya, I've created tools to generate bone chains based on selections before the age of AI. Now that it is readily available, I gave Chat GPT a chance to do the work for me. As a result, it and I created a simple python addon for Blender, which allows one to create joint/bone chains relative to curve and mesh component selections. It isn't perfect, but it is still handy when needed. Ignore the collar STL, it was needed to make the post.
Update:
I added a second tool that creates and centers individual bones on faces and vertices, oriented by face and vertex normals.
