Cover Plate for a 2 -Gang Metal Weatherproof New work Square Electrical Box e.g. 4.5"
I downloaded and printed a typical 2 gang cover but it didn't have a great fit for the New York Square metal box I had bought which is 4.5" x 4.5" x 2.25".
I could not find a ready made 3d print so I measured then modeled the box in Blender, and then modeled a blank panel for it and matched up the holes. It is a super simple design but it fit so well that it snapped in place. I thought I would share in case this helps you out.
The overall dimensions are 125mm x 125mm x 7mm.
The exact box I bought was https://www.lowes.com/pd/Sigma-Electric-2-Gang-Weatherproof-Box-2-Gang-Gray-Metal-Weatherproof-New-Work-Standard-Square-Exterior-Electrical-Box/3818147
PS - In my case I was using the enclosure for a Uxcell AC 115/250V 20A CW4L2-20A-S Noise Suppressor Power EMI Filter downline of a Generator --> Surge Protector --> DiY EMI filter --> UPS... my generator does not include a digital inverter. IF you DO plan on purchasing a generator for power backup then be sure to get one that has inverter technology. Mine is an old shop generator (made for powering tools, not computers for instance). Tools want power, Electronics want clean power...
