Tall Truck Shifter

I made this, because.. why not. Like most built trucks you see, they have a tall shifter, and I wanted to replicate it.

I modified the files to include a 12" piece of aluminum tube to extend the shifter. I had to make a custom adapter to fit the shaft onto the pipe, and I had to make a custom adapter to fit the pipe onto my Moza AB9. I also made an external mount for the Arcade USB Encoder. All of these adapters are secured onto the aluminum tube with 3/16" rivets.

The Moza adapter consists of 3 pieces: MozaAdapter[Top/Middle/Bottom]. MozaAdapterMiddle gets a M4 heatset insert (McMaster# 97171A340) , and is inserted through MozaAdapterBottom before getting screwed (with a m4 bolt) into MozaAdapterTop. This adapter concoction allows you to hold the shifter straight while attaching it to the Moza base, similar to how the TM Hotas Warthog or Moza MH16 grips attach to their bases. I'm a little skeptical in the strength of MozaAdapterMiddle, but I think it'll be fine if you dial back the FFB strength in Moza software.

Quick notes:
MozaAdapterBottom is upscaled in the slicer to 100.80% so the threads don't bind as much when securing onto the base. Feel free to adjust the upscale percentage.
The adapters may not even need rivets. I was able to size them so they are nice and snug on the tube. If the fit ends up being a little loose, drill and pop a rivet in.

Materials:
1-3/4" O.D. Aluminum tube, thin wall
Extra wire to extend and reach the USB Encoder board
M3x8mm screws to attach USB Encoder board to external mount
M4 heat-set insert: McMaster 97171A340
M4 bolt and washer
3/16" pop rivets
Piece of heatshrink to protect wires from rough hole edge, or maybe some hot glue to act as a cushion
Obviously, a case of beer, and fuzzy dice to hang from your CB

As I suspected, MozaAdapterTop eventually failed. I'll try a few different designs and update the post with changes.
