WAGR Yard Crane (S Scale)

A Yard Crane of the Western Australian Government Railways

Heavily inspired by the Kit released many years ago by Double G Models (by the late Gary Gray).
As far as I am aware this kit has long been unavailable, and would have been very difficult to cast.

Highly recommend either printing as the bed is layed out with a 0.2mm nozzle and ABS/ASA, which makes for easy assembly with an appropriate solvent glue; though PLA and superglue may work well as there is minimal pressure on the boom, though long-term heat exposure over as low as 45 degrees is always an issue for potential sagging.
Resin will yield a more aesthetic look and possibly easier assembly but will be highly fragile.
You will need some brass rod of 1mm, 0.7mm and 0.3 brass wire and some finer copper wire for the winding and the lift cable.
