Allen Key blade for 2 blade chinese VDE
I got this 2 blade Chinese "VDE" (not really) screwdriver on Aliexpress for like $5 (https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005009194213018.html). It has two slot ends and two Phillips ends, and is pretty useful around the house, and I love the colour scheme. I need 2 and 2.5mm Allen keys all the time for M3 and M4 screws, so I built my own blade for this handle.
I printed it standing up with tree supports, and that gave me a wide enough footprint to not need rafts. 3 walls and 55% infill.
I found some old Allen keys in 2 ans 2.5mm that I had in a box of junk, and hack-sawed off about 30mm worth of the long ends. Now my hex holes for the keys were too tight. So I grab the non-cut end with pliers, and heated the cut end of the key with a lighter until it was good and hot, and then shoved it into the hole hot. like a heat press insert. I wouldn't use an actual heat press to do it, because these are tool steel and won't take the heat transfer well. Shove in about 15-20mm of your 30mm. Depending on how hot you got it, You have a few seconds to adjust the straightness of it. Then just hold it steady and blow on it until it seizes up.
