Gloomhaven Magnetic Numbered Miniature Base Markers
This is a magnetic remix from Robagon's amazing base markers.
I remixed his with magnets because I found the clip system too brittle when using resin monsters.
The Base Markers are made to fit 9x1mm magnets.
I chose to print 4 of each number (40 total).
I bought 50 magnets online for about $5, and glued them in.
The Elite Markers are made to fit 20x0.3mm metal discs.
I chose to print 10 of these. I bought the metal discs online, for about $6 for 100.
You will need at least 10 metal discs for the markers, plus 1 disc for each of your monsters. I chose to buy 400 discs.
It does not take very long to glue them all on. I used wood glue with very high success rate.
Print them or paint them yellow.
I have included a blank base marker, in case you prefer to use stickers, or would like to use them for your summons.
The numbers should be coloured. You may want to use paint, but need a steady hand. I chose to press some black putty into the recess. You can use blue-tac, knead-able eraser, plasticine, etc.
I have noticed the 9x1mm magnets are pretty strong, and often interact with the maghex system I use.
You may want to use smaller magnets. If you find a smaller size that works better, let me know and I may post an update.
They have printed well with 0.4mm nozzle PLA on an FDM printer with high quality.
This model was made from scratch in Blender, however made in the same style as the remixes, and all credit goes to others.
The base rings were designed to fit the base collections made by Eli Owens, see a sample below. As such they are sized to fit a 24.5mm base. They could easily be scaled to fit a different sized base.
