Unicorn wireless EEG system enclosure (v2)

The Unicorn EEG system is a wireless, portable 8-channel EEG system by the Austrian company g.tec medical engineering designed to make high-quality EEG technology more accessible. First released in 2019, it was available as the "Unicorn Hybrid Black" set and as the "Unicorn Naked", which is only the PCB plus the wires and hybrid electrodes. Both versions are designed for scalp EEG with fixed leads/wires.

To make it more versatile, on https://robertoostenveld.nl/unicorn-naked-case/ I described an alternative 3D-printed case and 2x5 standard header to allow connecting other types of electrodes for EEG, EMG and ECG. The first version had a soldered 2x8 shrouded header, which was not so robust as the header pins got loose in the plastic due to the soldering. For this second version that features here https://robertoostenveld.nl/unicorns-are-multiplying/, I switched to 2x5 insulation displacement connectors (IDCs) that I ordered from Aliexpress.

The original Unicorn Hybrid Black comes with EEG caps in different sizes that allow the EEG system to be cliped-on at the back of the cap with magnets. The enclosure design includes a part where you can glue in two neodymium magnets, and I also included the design for a compatible magnetic holder that you can mount on your own cap.

I printed the enclosures using black PLA on my Prusa MK3S printer using a 0.25 mm nozzle.
