Working Clockwork Heart - Lies of P (P-Organ, Pinocchio's heart)
A moving, 'beating' crank-operated heart. The 'p-organ' from the souls-like Lies of P, Pinocchio's heart.
I created a quick assembly guide - though I have given my own heart to a dear friend (med school graduation), so it was mostly from memory. Let me know if there are issues - but please note that this is a difficult project. To tackle it, your printer should be well tuned (able to meet ~0.1mm tolerances) and you should have some experience with projects of this complexity (when to use brims vs not, where to place supports, etc)
The only hardware needed is:
- ~20x 8mm m3 countersunk screws
- Optional: for the ratcheting dial, a small orthodontic elastic band (optional, as the sound can be a bit grating)
- Optional: a d-ring and chain to hang it
- Some CA/super glue
Includes a drill bit adapter, so one could use that.
Here is the cad for easier remixing and whatnot.
