BEITONG Kunpeng 70 (KP-70) Joystick Base Replacement / Repair
This is a custom-designed replacement for the joystick base (thumbstick stem) of the Beitong Pangolin P70 (also known as KP-70) controller.
The original joystick bases on this model are known to be quite fragile and prone to cracking under intense use (see attached photos for the typical failure). Since the stock parts are unreliable, I developed this 3D-accurate model to restore the controller's functionality. It is designed to fit perfectly with the original mechanism and the magnetic thumbstick caps.
Features:
Perfect Fit: Tailored specifically for the Beitong P70/KP-70 internal joystick module.
Reinforced Design: Improved geometry to handle stress better than the stock plastic part.
Compatibility: Works with the original magnetic stick system.
Print Settings / Recommendations:
Nozzle Size:
Recommended: 0.2 mm (for maximum detail and precision of the internal stem).
Alternative: I successfully printed mine with a 0.4 mm nozzle, which also works well if your printer is well-calibrated.
Layer Height: 0.1 mm or 0.12 mm for a smooth spherical surface.
Supports: Required.
I recommend using manual/point supports as shown in my screenshot. This ensures the internal mounting area is clean while supporting the overhanging dome.
Material: PLA+, PETG, or Tough Resin (for better durability).
Post-Printing:
Make sure to clear out any support material from the internal "cross" or "hex" mounting point before pressing it onto the controller's analog module.
