Kites And Bricks
Puzzle description:
Kites&Bricks is a tesselation puzzle. A brick is 2x1 rectangle, a kite is built by two half bricks if a brick is split along a diagonal and the two parts are glued together with one half turned over.
If you have many such tiles the problem is to fill a mxn-rectangle (with m or n even) completely. You can trivially solve this with bricks only, but the actual task is to use as much kites as possible. For instance,
- use 6 kites and 4 bricks to fill a 4x5-rectangle completely, or
- use 8 kites and 10 bricks to fill a 6x6-rectangle.
The pieces together with the problems were created by Livio Zucca. More information can be found at https://sicherman.net/kites-bricks/.

Puzzle difficulty:
Medium difficulty. Very interesting because you need bricks in positions not parallel to the boundaries of the tray.
Printing instructions:
Print at least 8 kites and 10 bricks. For larger rectangles you need more. Trays for 4x5 and 6x6 are also provided.
Prints are fine with no supports.
I printed the puzzle in PLA at 0.1 mm layer height.
