DownHill Bar Ends

Since they are sold out everywhere I thought I would make my own version of the trending DH racing Bar Ends, the design is totally not inspired by a company with a name that sounds a bit like Wild-Dog-Teethies.

The bar ends are 3D printed in 90a TPU which gives them a nice rubbery feeling. The flange profile is shaped to sort of match the outline of my closed hand. I have removed the need for a separate anti-rotation part by incorporating that feature directly into the printed parts.

As these bar ends locate inside the handlebars, you may have the chop the end of an existing pair of grips.

I printed the bar insert in PLA.
I printed the flanges with Bambu 90a TPU, 6 walls, and about 20% gyroid infill.
To remove the need for any supports I have included "flange bridge support". Print in PLA the flange bridge support, then lightly coat in wax or silicone spray, just something to stop the TPU sticking. Pause the flange print prior to it printing over the hole for the bolt head, then insert the PLA bridge support part. Resume the print. one finished printing you can poke out the pla bridge support, resulting in a nice TPU part that didnt require supports.
