brackets for mounting DC jacket or switch in MDF panel or housing

These small mounting brackets allow easy mounting of a DC jacket or a switch into a case or housing made of MDF panel or similiar material (5mm or thicker)

DC jackets or snap in switches can be easily mounted in cases made of 1..2mm sheet material, ie metal or resin. For the jacket you need to drill a 6mm bore and for the switch you need to make a 13x19mm cutout.

However, mounting them into 5mm or thicker MDF, multiplex etc. doesn't work to well for the screw of the jacket (too short) or the snap-in connector.

What is more, making the rectangular cutout can be tedious when working in MDF or multiplex material.

I happen to have a 25mm diameter cutting tool. Using that tool and the printed brackets, the mounting has become easy.
