Landing gear for RCExplorer Tricopter
When printed with flex filament, this thing is a durable elastic landing gear for the RCExplorer Tricopter. Instead of relying on breaking zip-ties, the elasticity of the landing gears should protect the copter from all but the heaviest landings.
The blade-like boom-attached landing gears are too wobbly to work on their own, but in this case, they're only needed on the front booms to balance the copter. Two of the main landing gears, glued or zip-tied to the bottom of the battery tray, will take the main load.
Additionally, the landing gear increases the ground clearance of the copter, which should help when a camera gimbal has been attached in front of the copter.
The drawback of this landing gear is the increased weight. Compared to the original one, this landing gear is about 30 grams heavier. The side landing gears weight 9.6 g, whereas the original ones are 5 g. The main landing gear is 13.8 g per piece. With more than enough power to spare, I'm happy to pay the price, though.
