Summary

These are the 3d-printed components of my 1lb class battlebot. This includes the weapon drum, weapon mount, front shovel/scoop, rear bumper/battery compartment, and wheel adapter.
It is based around attaching these components to an aluminum electronics enclosure as the main body.
This bot has yet to fight in it's first competition, but I hope to do so at DragonCon this fall :-)

Instructions

The enclosure is model MDC-432 made by LMB Heeger. You can get these at Frys.
I used regular 1/10 touring car wheels, these can be gotten at any hobby shop, and the wheel adapter will allow them to fit on the motor shafts.
The motors are Actobotics 140RPM right angle plastic gearmotors. You can also get these at frys and lots of places online.
I use a tamiya pulley unit set to drive the weapon drum, with the 50mm pulley attached to the drum itself. I found some tiny screws in my workshop for this, no idea what size they actually are.
The hardware is all metric, mostly M3.
The battery is a zippy compact 350mah pack from Hobbyking. It should fit (just barely) in the hollow part in the rear bumper piece.
The weapon drum has holes for 4 #10-24 socket head screws, with the heads facing out, and the nuts on the inner surface of the drum. These act as the "teeth" for the weapon.

Everything is printed at .25 layer height, 40% infill, 3 shells, from HIPS plastic. I brush the surface with weld-on #4 using a q-tip to improve layer adhesion, and hopefully strength.

This is a work in progress, and I may update/modify things based on how it performs, or if any problems are found in final assembly.
