Raspberry Pi B+ Shell Case - Protect your Raspberry Pi while still showing off its devilishly good looks!

This is a Shell Case for the Raspberry Pi B+ (may work with other models) that allows you to protect your Raspberry Pi without turning it into a giant block of plastic.

This Pi prints out in a top and bottom, and is secured to the Raspberry Pi by using 1.75mm 3d filament as pins (simply cut 4 small pieces from the end of your spool of plastic). This 3D printed case was tested to provide a good fit to the pins and will fit securely into any Raspberry Pi B+ model.

This case requires nothing to assemble beyond the 3D printer and filament needed to print it out.

I designed this for the reddit.com/r/3Dprinting contest for a Raspberry Pi case, and because I wanted a good looking shell that still showed off the Raspberry Pi's hardware. I 3D printed it with Inland brand Bronzefill 3d Filament from Microcenter and tested it a Raspberry Pi B+.

NOTE: Print quality on my printer is poor, hence the roughness in the pictures.

IMPORTANT PRINTING NOTE: If you intend to print the top upright using supports (which gives the best end product), make sure to change the support offset to 1mm and check it in the print preview to make sure Makerware does NOT try to print supports inside the pinholes. If supports print inside the pinholes, they will be miserable to get out. Printing with 1mm offset prevents supports from showing up inside the pinholes, but still prints supports for the Raspberry Pi logo
