dys-1806-10mm-3mm-lip

update as of 29-Aug-2015, i made the ear-ends thicker and the ear-lengths shorter so the zipties fit snugly. It still has the 3mm lip around the motor. Also, I added pictures of the actual printed mounts.

There are 2 different mounts, note the hole placements. This is so when you mount the DYS 1806, the motor cable are angled so it points to the general direction of the multi rotor's body for cleaner cabling.

I deliberately mount this about an inch from the tip of the boom so when i crash, the boom actually protects the propeller from hitting the ground. a makeshift prop protector ;)

This is the motor mount of the DYS 1806 2300kv motor.

The width of the ears have been set to 10mm to fit the 10mm wooden booms I used on my tricopter so the ziptie will bite it properly.

Also, i added a 3mm to the motor disk so it has a protective lip around the motor incase it bumps into things.

This was my first foray into using OpenSCAD which I really like since its very accurate.
