It worked great for months while in a cupboard. Garlic was fresh like new. But while moving things I left it out for a couple days, partially exposed to artificial light. The garlic sprouted very long shoots as if it couldn't wait to do so.
This thing is handy if you have nothing better, but a keeper really needs to be opaque. Keep it out of the light or buy or make a ceramic one.

Garlic and onions last longest in a cool, dark place, and with just enough ventilation to prevent mold.

Half way through this print I realized the red color transmits a lot of light. Black is more opaque, and may be better suited, but a print will never approach the environment afforded by a clay garlic pot.

In any case, I wouldn't leave a plastic one on a window sill or anywhere out in the open. I plan to park this inside a cabinet. If the garlic doesn't sprout in a couple of months I'll be happy.

It was intended to be spacious and still fit on this Afinia's 5.5 x 5.5 inch platform. The 5x5x5 inch pot will hold maybe 10 or 12 medium size heads of garlic.

Afinia defaults. Except that in the software's Print Window / Preferences / Support / Area, the selection was "20 mm2". That means openings with an area less than 20mm squared will not have support, and there was no support to remove from the air holes.

Things vibrated a lot, particularly toward the end, and the wide tall print may require the extra adhesion a raft provides. Better safe than sorry.

Or scale both parts by whatever is appropriate if you want it larger or smaller than the original. The lid is a loose fit so precision is not too critical.
